Feedback for Existing / Historic Tour Guide Operators
Hosting a tour or tour group on Granville Island
CMHC is currently developing a new Granville Island Tour Group Policy, which will provide operators such as yourself the ability to apply for approval to bring groups to Granville Island.
In the interim, we would be very much appreciative if you could provide feedback, regarding future Tours on Granville Island. This will assist CMHC to not only provide updates and new information regarding Tour Group Policies but also assist in developing a policy that will ensure a safe and positive visitor experience for all Granville Island guests.
Granville Island’s guided and group tour policy is currently under review. Currently, we are not accepting new applications from new Guided tour groups. All new guided group tours are temporarily suspended.
Where tours operate in conjunction with approved operators, such as collaboration with an existing Granville Island tour provider, CMHC does not intend for this policy to interfere with those elements of your itinerary. However, upon completion of this portion of your tour if you are intending to remain on the island to explore further offerings on the island, we ask that groups split into smaller (Less than 10 people), unguided, parties to independently explore the Island.
Tour Groups that have provided the feedback will ensure that their needs are considered and will be provided up to date information by email.
Tour Buses:
Tour bus operators may continue to drop off groups at designated locations (Lot 73 for 15-minute drop-off/pick-up and Lot 55 for tour van parking). However, groups must split into smaller parties and are not permitted to travel the Island or enter premises with a guide or as a large group (considered to be 10 people or more).
